Jackie Couling - Challenge 15

Jackie Couling

The first time I've ever manages to enter!

The President of the college where I've worked for 37 years held a dinner to celebrate the 2,000th woman to be admitted and the 2,000th celebrations are for women to be inspiring, enabling and sustaining.

Sue Bryan - Challenge 15

Sues card is special to her this month because the day that she made it a blue tit came and sat on her washing line and she was taking photos of it, then later that morning her new stamps arrived and it was of the blue tit and bird feeder.

Lesley Walden - Challenge 15

I have used the Dandelion, Dandelion Leaf, Dandelion Verse and Pear Branch stamps on my card.

All were stamped in archival black ink on Theuva card with a bit of masking in places.  The background was lightly brayered and the images were coloured using watercolour brush markers.

Reading the verse again I wanted to make her 'hair' white, but couldn't work out how to get white on some of the stamp and black on the rest.  After several attempts with versamark ink and brayering and then more attempts with white embossing powder just on the hair, I went back to the original card and dabbed her 'hair' with a white correction pen and a few dots of silver as well.  I'm very happy with the result and it was a lot simpler than the other methods I was trying.  I also used the white pen on the pear flowers as a highlight.

Carole Panksztelo - Challenge 15

Carole Panksztelo

Well after much ado and "should I, shouldn't I" add a few hearts, I heard wise words from Barbara "less is more".

I had a very faded looking gelli print and thought I would add the Madeleine stencil, together with the journal and other Clarity swirl stamps.  I chose the words because I think art is very beautiful, no matter what medium is used, each persons interpretation is part of them and their vision, and shows in each piece created.

I wish everyone "good luck" and look forward to seeing all the other entries.
