Lesley has created her background paper by dropping

and splattering various inks onto dampened water 

colour paper then adding some salt crystals and

letting them dry.  Using the 'Dotty Mermaid' she used

fusible film to create a shimmery image and 

coloured in the dots with gold and silver.
