Jeanette Butler
I've been going to a local pottery club for a few years now and recently thought I'd try combining ceramics with stamps and stencils so this challenge is just perfect for me to enter my ceramic plate.
I debossed a Clarity stencil into the wet clay and after a first biscuit firing in the kiln, I brushed underglaze over it which remained in the debossed areas. A clear glaze was then applied and a final firing in the kiln.
Here's a close a close up of the finished plate.
This is such a good idea. The stencil design lends itself perfectly on the plate.

An ingenious use of the stencil and so stylish, Jeanette; could become a family heirloom! Takes me back to the heady days of my final year at college - my mum still has my bits and pieces on display! Thanks for the memory and entering the challenge. ;~}
