  3. Thank you!
I gave Kasha a Dress out of gilding flakes and for the outer frame I used the "Caught in Crystal-technique, which I love very much at the moment.

  7. This is lovely. What is the 'caught in crystal technique?', is this how you created the lovely background?

    1. Hello Karen,
      thanks!
With this technique you use a transparent foil. First I dropped lacquer in circles on it. Then I dropped ink on and between the fresh lacquer. I used inkabilities (only two or three different colours). If you want you can put a little perfect pearls as well on everything.
At last you cover it with crumpled tissue paper.
Then you need a lot of patience. I let it dry for three full days!!!
If you turn it around it looks like glass. I like this effect very much.

  9. Hello Karen and Barbara,
    thanks for the compliments!
I forgot something: After covering it up with the tissue paper I took three crumpled sheets of kitchen roll and pressed lightly over it. So the ink should soak into your tissue paper. (If there are white spots you can definitely use an ink drop to fill it) You can use gloves as well because it´s a bit messy but it´s absolutely worth it. You can cut it with dies (don´t use delicate ones) If everything is dry you can glue it on a white card so the colours will come out better. xxx

    1. Hi Jomada-Dawn,
thank you so much for your compliment but I´m not the innovator of this technique.
And I´m not sure if you better use alcohol or non-alcohol inks. I only had some Inkabilities here from Clarity but I was happy with the result.
